Waived on NFL Roster Cutdown Day, outside linebacker Noah Spence may finally have a new home.

According to Jenna Laine of ESPN, the Washington Redskins are expected to sign Spence to a contract.

The Redskins brought in the 25-year-old Spence for a workout last week, and were obviously impressed by what they saw from the linebacker. Before that, the Buffalo Bills kicked the tires on him. Spence had just worked out for the Chicago Bears on Tuesday not long before this latest report dropped.

Spence was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. In 34 career games (six starts) with the Bucs, Spence tallied 34 tackles, 14 quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and 2 passes defended.

In the final year of his rookie contract, Spence was waived at the end of the preseason by the Buccaneers.

The Redskins are in dire need of help defensively. Through the first two weeks of the 2019 season, Washington has allowed 455 yards per game, while surrendering 6 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing scores.
