Redskins' First Unofficial Depth Chart Lists Colt McCoy as Starting QB and That Sounds Really Bad
By Sam Dunn

So, how are things going at Washington Redskins camp, I hear you ask? Allow me to direct your attention to Jay Gruden's first depth chart of the preseason. While unofficial, the name at the very top should be the cause of some real concern amongst fans in the nation's capital.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Colt McCoy.
Per the team, this is the first unofficial depth chart. On offense,

- McCoy, Keenum, Haskins
- Peterson, Guice, Thompson, 4th ???
- Reed, Davis, Sprinkle
- Doctson, Richardson, Quinn, McLaurin, Harmon
- Christian, Flowers, Roullier, Scherff, Moses#HTTR
Yes, the team that made a point to acquire Case Keenum and subsequently made a point to draft Dwayne Haskins is repping an undersized 32-year-old as its No. 1 quarterback (at least for now).
If that doesn't move the needle for you, then your head is definitely screwed on right. Sure, things got turned completely upside down in Washington when Alex Smith went down with an authentically devastating leg injury that changed his career forever, but the NFC East is ruthless. Relentless. If McCoy's 60.5% career completion rate is the best you can do, things aren't exactly going swimmingly.
From the not-really-news dept: Colt McCoy is the first QB on the depth chart. Keenum then Haskins. Keep in mind: depth charts on Aug 4 irrelevant. And often not even done by the coaches at this point. But this order would make sense for Thur since McCoy is the vet in this O.

All told, McCoy is 7-20 in his career as a starter, including an 0-2 mark as the No. 1 QB in Washington last season. Haskins shouldn't be rushed into the featured role at such a young age, but this offense needs a rudder behind center.
As of this moment, they don't have one.
