Redskins DB Josh Norman Takes Comical Shot at Dave Gettleman and the Giants
By Brian Cass

New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman has been the punch line of more than a few jokes this offseason, and rightfully so. It seems like he just cannot do anything right, with his drafting of QB Daniel Jones merely the latest in a series of controversial moves.
Players around the league are chirping right along with the fans-- especially players within the Giants' NFC East division. Washington Redskins corner Josh Norman was the latest to take a shot at Gettleman and the G-Men, doing so on "The Rich Eisen Show."
#Redskins CB Josh Norman was asked about Dave Gettleman's offseason moves with the #Giants: “I think we need to put him on salary. I mean, they need to protect Dave Gettleman at all costs in New York because he’s winning for us.” (via @RichEisenShow)

Well, you can't really say it's not true. Almost everyone in the NFC East ought to be writing off the Giants at this point, and it's all because of what Gettleman has done running the front office.
There's a laundry list of idiotic things that he's done this offseason, but all you need to know in order to understand Giants' fans frustration with Gettleman is that he (1) traded away perhaps the best wide receiver in the league in Odell Beckham Jr., and (2) drafted Eli Manning's ostensible replacement by taking Jones with the fourth overall pick in the draft, as it's since been revealed by multiple sources that Jones would have slipped considerably if the Giants didn't take him.

It's okay, Giants fans. As Harvey Dent once said, "the night is darkest just before the dawn." You may have to deal with a few more seasons of night, unfortunately.
