Red Sox First Pick of 2019 MLB Draft Has Awesome Baseball Name
By Mark Powell

Okay, you'll have to forgive us, we know as much about the Red Sox first selection in the 2019 MLB Draft as you do. BUT, but, we can inform the masses he has an excellent baseball name. In fact, it's one of the best in this draft.
With the 43rd selection in the 2019 MLB Draft, the Boston Red Sox have selected Cameron Cannon out of the University of Arizona. Yes, he is Cam Cannon. How can he not succeed?

Cannon was the first of two Arizona infielders selected in the second round, as Nick Quintana went to the Detroit Tigers. The 5-10 right-handed hitter is considered a heavy-contact hitter at the plate, but lacking in the power department.
Why can’t Cam Cannon be an outfielder? Waste of a great name. https://t.co/UFdm8okqfn

Boston was initially slotted at No. 33, but was moved back ten picks for being more than $40 million over the luxury tax threshold. Considering that money helped land the Red Sox another World Series, we assume they'll make that trade any day.
