Real Madrid stunned Man City in the Champions League quarterfinals
The La Liga giants took down Pep Guardiola and Co. at the Etihad Stadium
Hala Madrid! This is what countless people across the globe were shouting on Wednesday night, as Real Madrid traveled to Manchester and did the unthinkable against Man City. Though the Premier League giants were favored to come out on top, the opposite happened.
Rodrigo opened the scoring in the first half, but Kevin De Bruyne was able to tie things up in the second half. After the two teams ended things 1-1 after the full-time whistle, no goals were scored in extra time, resulting in a penalty shootout.

While City's Ederson blocked the first Madrid attempt, MCFC would miss its next two shots and Antonio Rudiger shut the lights off soon after by scoring the game-winning penalty. Just like that, City has been eliminated and Real Madrid is moving on to the semifinals.
