The Tampa Bay Rays put up a valiant effort against the Houston Astros in the ALDS, forcing a win-or-go-home Game 5, but they just didn't have enough firepower to counteract Gerrit Cole and the powerful Astros lineup.

The Astros' Instagram celebrated the victory by posting a picture with a caption which highlighted the team making the ALCS three seasons in a row. The Rays saw the post, and their social media team left a comment in support of the 'Stros.

The Rays' social media team had just one request from the Astros: to beat the New York Yankees in the ALCS.

Yep, the Rays are hoping see their division rival Yankees take an L to Houston in the ALCS, despite the fact that it was Houston that put an end to Tampa's season.

While some Rays fans may be pulling for the Yankees in hopes of the AL East retaining the throne, it seems the team itself would rather not have their rivals within striking distance of their 28th World Series title.

For baseball fans hoping to keep the Yankees out of the World Series, it looks like it's time to jump aboard the Astros' bandwagon.
