Ty Cobb was one of the first members of the MLB Hall of Fame and his epic career still wows fans who study his stats to this day. Another thing that seems to wow people are his trading cards, which always seem to sell for big money. In fact, a seven-card collection of the former Detroit Tigers outfielder sold for as much as $3 million at an auction a few years ago.

Now, it seems as though another Cobb card will have a chance to break the bank at an auction. An authentic rookie card from Cobb's debut season in 1907 will offered up on an online auction that some estimate will approach over $300,000 by the time bidding closes on April 19.

The card, along with being issued in Cobb's rookie season, is part of a historic collection: the W600 set. That collection was released between 1902 and 1911 and it's only the second time a W600 Ty Cobb has hit an auction.

When that card was eventually sold, the price was driven up to $55,380 back in 2011. For this card, the minimum bidding price was set at $50,000, and has already reached $200,000 with 12 days still to go.

With previous Cobb cards easily breaking the $300,000 mark, you can expect this one to do the same.
