Toronto Raptors center Marc Gasol is one of the few centers in the league that is still more than comfortable of playing with his back totally to the basket when necessary, and his big, muscular frame has helped him own the low post on both sides of the ball throughout his long NBA career.

Gasol is looking like a much more slender player after three months in quarantine, however, as the extended hiatus helped Gasol shed some of his unsightly body fat, much like Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

Gasol is listed at 255 pounds. Just using the old eyeball test, he is nowhere near that mark now.

Gasol is averaging 7.6 points and 6.3 rebounds for Toronto in his age-35 season. While nowhere near the offensive threat he was with the Memphis Grizzlies, he can still provide physical interior play and his usual stellar defense, which is all Toronto requires of him given their surplus of options on the wing.

Gasol has slimmed himself down in preparation for the NBA's restart. Given his new frame, we might see a player that can run the floor better and line up at more positions on offense rather than being anchored to the low post while Kyle Lowry chucks up threes.
