The Texas Rangers might have swung for the fences and missed in their pursuit of Anthony Rendon this offseason, but they're still going big game hunting to bolster that lineup.

The Rangers reportedly have interest in superstar Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado, who has come up in the rumor mill after whispers that Colorado could be headed for a rebuild.

By virtue of playing in relative anonymity in Colorado, Arenado's status as a top-10 player in all of baseball often gets overlooked. In the last five seasons, all of which have sent Arenado to the All-Star game, he has played in at least 155 games. He hasn't hit below .287; he's hit at least 37 home runs; and has driven in at least 110 RBI.

In the field, he might be even better, as the seven-time Gold Glove winner became the first player ever to win three straight Platinum Glove Awards.

Arenado is one of the game's best and most consistent players over the last decade, and he's still just 28 years old. If the Rockies are truly shopping him, Texas needs to do everything in its power to bring him to the Lone Star State.
