Looks like one rookie's "Welcome to the NFL" moment may have included some bad shrimp.

Unbeknownst to us, Raiders rookie 'back Josh Jacobs has been having a tough time this week, and it's not only because he's worried about matching up with the Vikings on Sunday.

Per the former Crimson Tide star's Instagram story, he's been battling an illness and has dropped 10 POUNDS during his downtime.

Uh...yikes! That's...a lot for a power back!

Unless Jacobs is exaggerating his dire straits for effect, we've got to say this doesn't bode well for the league's top rookie rusher in his "prove yourself" battle against Dalvin Cook, who appears to be all the way back from his injury trials and tribulations. For what it's worth, Jacobs was thought to be limited, regardless, with a groin injury. Unless it's the kind of groin issue that also induces nausea and vomiting (e.g., being drilled in the groin with a shovel), we assume this is a different thing entirely.

Through two weeks, Jacobs is the NFL's fourth-leading rusher, despite a cap on carries. Let's hope his body allows him to continue that progress in the very near future, and that he can add back the pounds he lost due to his illness.
