We are only a week removed from a point in the season where we all legitimately thought the Oakland Raiders had a shot to win the AFC West over the Kansas City Chiefs. That feels like forever ago after witnessing the Silver and Black get blown out in back-to-back games vs. the Jets and Chiefs.

The Raiders have made a change to their depth chart as a response to their losses, but it might not be one you were expecting.

Third-year quarterback DeShone Kizer is now the backup quarterback in Oakland, and veteran Mike Glennon has dropped down to third string.

Frankly, this isn't going to do much to help the Raiders bounce back from a pair of embarrassing losses. Oakland fans realizing they are screwed if their starting signal-caller misses any time is the only thing this news will accomplish.

Kizer hasn't started a regular season game in the NFL since his rookie season in Cleveland. He saw limited action in just three games last year with Green Bay.

The Raiders have discovered that Glennon is not a viable option for them as a backup, and there is little proof that Kizer is capable of filling that role. Fans need to hope that Carr remains healthy for the foreseeable future.
