Quincy Enunwa Puts Jets on Blast in Extended Twitter Thread About Recent Fines

You may remember 27-year-old Quincy Enunwa for being a reliable force for some downtrodden Jets teams over the past few years, but it's likely you also remember him for his worrisome neck injuries that may prevent him from returning to the game of football.

But while managing his trauma and working his way back to the playing field (and facing long odds), Enunwa became the latest Jet to lash out at the organization for their handling of injured players, though not in the same way Luke Falk and Kelechi Osemele have.

Enunwa received two fines for two recent days of missed "practices," and that doesn't sit well with him at all.

Enunwa, very much buried on IR, recently missed two days of longshot rehab unannounced, and returned to the team facility to see he'd been fined the maximum.

No, he's not blameless; Enunwa admits he didn't give the team his set of excuses until after the fact. But context is important. The man is fighting for something he may never get back. To treat a man facing trauma as if he's hurting the team with his absences isn't accurate.

Most importantly, the psychological toll on Enunwa is valid. How much rehab can one man take? How often can he be forced to stare his withering career in the face?

Enunwa erred here, but this needs to be a conversation, not a blanket announcement on a television screen.

It's a wonder anyone plays for the Jets at all.
