The New Orleans Saints don't have a lot of years left to take advantage of their high-powered offense under its current construction. With Drew Brees nearing the end of his career, the Saints front office scrambled this offseason to provide him with as much help that the limitation of the NFL salary cap could allow. That is why they went out and acquired wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders on a two-year deal to pair with Michael Thomas.

However, much of the Saints' postseason struggles over the past few seasons can be attributed to bad luck, more than any possible roster disadvantages. From the miracle in Minneapolis, to an embarrassing home loss to Minnesota (again) last season, it seems fate has not been kind to the New Orleans Saints. Now. when looking at Emmanuel Sanders' past playoff experience, another statistic appears once again not to favor the Saints.

With Emmanuel Sanders attempting to become the first player ever to make a Super Bowl with four different teams, we're looking at yet another example of the Saints attempting to fight against a fate that doesn't seem to favor them. The talent on this team can absolutely win another Super Bowl and send Drew Brees out on a high note, but should they falter again, it will perhaps be an indication that the football gods just weren't ready to bestow such one-of-a-kind NFL status on such a man as Sanders.

If there is anything the Saints have taught us over the years, it's that they're frequently regular-season heroes and just can't find ways to break through. The talent on the roster must translate to postseason success here and now. That's all there is to it.
