Plane Flies Over Ohio State-Penn State Game Trailing Joe Paterno Banner Absolutely Nobody Asked for

Well, this certainly wasn't a sign anyone was expecting to see in Columbus, Ohio.

Before an important matchup between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Ohio State Buckeyes, some Penn State fans presumably took it upon themselves to send out a message in the sky that....wasn't really needed.

With Jerry Sandusky recently re-sentenced, and the wounds of the scandal still fresh, this was an unnecessary reminder to Penn State fans about a man who ruined his legacy in one fell swoop.

This season has been a public relations nightmare for Penn State, and it's quite easy to forget that the team is 9-1, nationally ranked, and a threat in the Big Ten this year.

Whichever Penn State fans left that are clinging on to Joe Paterno's football legacy need to let it go. It would be wise for all Nittany Lion fans to move on, and acknowledge that never mentioning Joe Paterno's name again is the best way to move forward as a program.
