Phillies Promoting Veteran Slugger Logan Morrison From Triple-A
By Karl Rasmussen

The Philadelphia Phillies offense hasn't been as lethal as the team was anticipating this season, so they've decided to address the issue from within.
Logan Morrison will be promoted to the big league club from Triple-A Lehigh, in hopes of providing some additional pop to the Phils' lineup.
Logan Morrison is being called up by the Philadelphia Phillies, sources tell ESPN. The veteran left-handed hitter has been a force this season at AAA, hitting .308/.369/.640 between stops with Yankees and Phillies. He’ll join a struggling Phillies offense looking for a spark.

At Triple-A this season with both the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders, Morrison has slashed .308/.369/.640 with 18 home runs and 49 RBI.
The 33-year-old hasn't sniffed the majors since last season, playing in 95 games and posting a rough .644 OPS before undergoing season-ending surgery in August.
Charlie Manuel is here. @JeffPassan also reports that Logan Morrison is being called up from Triple-A. Corey Dickerson bruised his left hand last night.

With his bat clearly clicking at Triple-A, the Phils are hoping that Morrison can provide a spark for their stretch run. He possesses a ton of pop in his bat, having hit 38 home runs as recently as 2017,
Currently sitting in a deadlock with the New York Mets for third place in the NL East, the Phils are hoping that Morrison can help them sneak into the postseason, as they're currently trailing the Brewers by 0.5 games in the Wild Card race.
