The Philadelphia Phillies came away with an impressive come-from-behind victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers last night, highlighted by Bryce Harper's walk-off hit, but it came at a cost.

On Wednesday, the Phillies placed outfielder Jay Bruce on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain and recalled fellow outfielder Nick Williams from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Bruce sustained the oblique injury at the dish in the third inning of Tuesday's game against the Dodgers. Philadelphia expects Bruce to miss at least three weeks.

Philadelphia acquired Bruce back in June to provide them a left-handed power bat off the bench. However, with the season-ending injury to Andrew McCutchen and the suspension of Odubel Herrera, Bruce was playing every day and gave this lineup plenty of thump.

Bruce has already belted 24 home runs on the season between Seattle and Philadelphia, and as a member of the Phillies he's slashing .256/.273/.564 with 10 home runs and 29 RBI over 33 games.

Williams had a short stint with the big league club this year, and he's struggled mightily, which is partly why they went out and acquired Bruce. In 50 games (81 at-bats) with the Phillies, Williams has slashed a woeful .173/.221/.259 with one home run and four RBI.
