Josh Harrison didn't earn anything more than a "prove it" deal in 2019.

But, to be fair, there aren't many big leaguers who like proving it more than Harrison does.

After an injury-flecked year in Detroit, the 32-year-old Harrison will have a shot at making the Phillies out of Spring Training in 2020, inking a minor-league pact with the team just before Thanksgiving.

The versatile Harrison is a two-time All-Star, with his most recent honor coming in 2017, a season in which he hit .272 with 16 homers as a catalyst of the Pirates. Advanced metrics have never been kind to Harrison, who really does seem to find himself in the middle of rallies more often than not when his bat is working right.

Of course, if he hooks on in Philly, he'll have the chance to reunite with an old friend.

Would be a nice motivator for Andrew McCutchen to complete his rehab!

After a dreadful 2019 season featuring a .175 average and myriad injuries, we'll see if Harrison has dogged interest in writing another chapter to his baseball career.
