Late-week additions to the injury report will always be a thing, but you still can't help but cringe each time they emerge. After all, these practices often only feature a light walkthrough and final prep for the weekend.

Following Friday's session, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll stated that second-string tailback Rashaad Penny is questionable for Sunday's tilt against the New Orleans Saints after aggravating his hamstring.

The news truly couldn't come at a worse time for Penny, who is fresh off an impressive Week 2 showing against the Steelers. The San Diego State product rushed 10 times for 62 yards and a touchdown on a day in which starter Chris Carson fumbled twice.

There was a real chance for Penny to see an uptick in snaps and carries, and thereby prove to Carroll that he is deserving of more playing time.

It's seriously farfetched to think that the 2018 first-round pick will recover in time for Sunday's clash. As we know, rushing back from a hamstring ailment could prove lethal in the long term.
