The Seattle Seahawks have added a new veteran weapon for Russell Wilson, and Pete Carrol believes that the pair "has no ceiling" heading into the 2020 season. That's no small bit of praise from a man who has a Super Bowl ring.

Former Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen signed a one-year deal to team up with Wilson in Seattle for the upcoming campaign. After matching up against the Seahawks for a number of big games, including some in the playoffs, Olsen will look to be a veteran leader for his former opponent and prove he can still be a difference-maker on offense at the age of 35.

"I think he'll make a very fast transition. He and Russell worked in the springtime, and when the summer time comes up, they'll be together often. I don't think there's any ceiling we should put on their ability to get together. I'm really excited about that." Carroll said.

If Olsen is going to live up to the head coach's lofty expectations, then he will need to stay on the field more than he has over the past few seasons. Since 2017, Olsen has missed 18 games to injury. Despite his recent history of ailment's, Carroll and the Seahawks took a chance on the veteran tight end believing that it won't be a concern come the fall.

"He's had a very clean process to get to this point. He had one foot injury that kind of turned into another related thing on his foot," Carroll said. "He's in pretty darn good shape right now for all the years he's played."
