It would appear that certain Patriots are having trouble coping with their premature playoff exit at the hands of the Titans in the Wild Card Round.

Several news outlets have confirmed that wideout Julian Edelman was arrested on Saturday night and charged with misdemeanor vandalism after allegedly jumping on the hood of a Mercedes, which caused damage to the vehicle.

Edelman was released shortly after being cited.

Per TMZ, law enforcement sources said that it was "apparent to them that Julian had been drinking."

Color us not surprised at all. What was Edelman thinking here?

The three-time Super Bow champ will be at the mercy of Los Angeles County district attorney Jackie Lacey. TMZ noted that Edelman could get off scot-free if he manages to clear the air with the car's owner.

We will provide updates on Edelman's predicament should any significant ones materialize, but at this rate we'd be surprised if this ordeal wasn't swept under the rug. Still, Edelman better shape up the rest of the offseason. This can't be happening.
