The Patriots aren't taking this video scandal lightly, it would seem. At least not internally.

According to Ben Volin, New England has suspended videographer Dave Mondillo for filming the Cincinnati Bengals' sideline. A full-time employee of Kraft Sports and Entertainment, he was the one the team seems to be pinning responsibility on for the events of last week.

The video, which finally surfaced ahead of the Sunday afternoon games on FOX, is fairly alarming.

Despite the claims that he was filming an advanced scout for the team, Mondillo's camera can be seen panning over to Cincinnati's sideline, where it stayed for approximately 30 seconds, without the scout in sight.

Of course, it's well-known that the Patriots have a history of shady dealings, especially when it comes to filming other teams.

Mondillo's and the team's claims that the videos were harmless are hard to believe when the Patriots constantly have the 2007 "Spygate" scandal hanging over their heads, and with audio available of him begging to delete the footage and make the scandal go away.

It'll be interesting to see where this goes as the NFL continues its own investigation into the ordeal. The Patriots have made their stance on it clear by suspending Mondillo, but it remains to be seen how or if they'll be punished further.
