Another key cog in the Patriots machine is set to stay with the team for a little while longer.
The defending Super Bowl champs have brought back defensive back and core special teamer Brandon King on a two-year extension, reports insider Adam Schefter

The former undrafted rookie free agent has been with the Pats for four years, winning two Super Bowls as a key member of the team's stellar special teams unit. King has also filled in sparingly in the Patriots' secondary, logging 13 tackles and a forced fumble in a small sample size.
Per @seanstellato, I can confirm Brandon King signing an extension with the Patriots. “He’s excited ... and very fortunate the Patriots extended him. This is where he wants to be.”

This move not only keeps the special teams unit intact, but he also gives New England some familiarity down the depth chart in the secondary just in case they're forced to deal with some unexpected absences. King's return marks another small step towards maintaining the sports world's most hated run of dominance.
