Patriots Fans Are Freaking Out on Twitter After Stefon Diggs' Zero-Context Tweet
By Chris Pyo

New England Patriots fans can and will assert themselves into any discussion involving any player in the NFL potentially on the move.
In the latest edition of Pats fans getting overzealous about a context-free tweet, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs sent out a message Monday was interpreted to no end:

To be fair, Bill Belichick will do whatever he can to add wide receiver depth to the Patriots and find a new weapon for Tom Brady. They very briefly rostered both Josh Gordon and Antonio Brown at the same time, after all. With that in mind, Pats fans are at least slightly justified in their reaction to Diggs' tweet-- particularly in light of this interesting wrinkle.
I’m hearing from multiple sources that the #Vikings and the #Patriots are deep into trade talks that will send star WR Stefon Diggs to New England – Which would be a giant add to the Patriots rather thin WR depth chart #NFL100

Okay, so we have one Diggs emoji and a self-proclaimed insider with 900 Twitter followers to go on. That's not a whole lot. Given how much he's owed this year, it's far, far more realistic that Diggs will remain in Minnesota and ride out the season. But that didn't stop the Foxborough faithful from sounding off.

Or that they’ll make due with smoke and mirrors and possibly add N’Keal Harry and Cam Meredith in a month? pic.twitter.com/fj9ddQuyxn
Sheesh. That's probably it.

This isn't the first time Diggs has utilized emojis to cryptically tweet out his feelings about certain subjects. This sort of behavior should be expected from him at this point of his career.
Then again, this is the NFL, and these are the Patriots. You never know what you're going to get when you're dealing with Bill Belichick.
