Nobody likes to lose, but there's also no need to take out your frustration on the opponent. Unfortunately, though, Vernon Butler sees things differently. The Carolina Panthers defensive tackle was ejected from Sunday's contest against the Indianapolis Colts for punching opposing tight end Jack Doyle square in the face with his team already down 21-3 in the third quarter.

Everything about the fracas is disturbing. Butler just goes in for a cheap shot on Doyle out of nowhere, who always seems to be on the receiving end of nonsense like this.

There's simply no place for that in the NFL, whether the game matters or not.
