Packers would be wise to use franchise tag on Aaron Jones

One of the biggest offseason questions for the Green Bay Packers is what they'll end up doing with running back Aaron Jones. The speedster is set to enter free agency, but there's a chance the team could end up using the franchise tag on him.

With that said, it'd be a wise move for Green Bay to execute this plan. Letting Jones walk and sign with another team simply can't happen.

Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst certainly left the door open for the Packers to tag him. Last season, he rushed for 1,104 yards and nine touchdowns. Packers fans no doubt want him back in the lineup taking handoffs from Aaron Rodgers in 2021 and beyond.

For now, all we can do is wait and see what the Packers end up doing with him. However, Green Bay should do everything possible to make sure Jones is suiting up at Lambeau Field next fall.
