Packers Fans Will Love What Vince Biegel Had to Say About Wisconsin Badgers Linebackers
By Michael Luciano

Looking around most NFL depth charts, a Wisconsin Badger is rarely too hard to find. Madison has been a fertile breeding ground for pro linebackers in particular, as the likes of Joe Schobert, TJ Edwards, and TJ Watt have shown that becoming a Badger is a smart choice if you want to make it at the highest level.
Former Badger linebacker and Green Bay Packer Vince Biegel, now with the Miami Dolphins, credits the number of Wisconsin 'backers in the NFL to head coach Paul Chryst. He believes that Chryst asks players to be coachable, smart, tough, and hard-working, and they consistently comply. Those traits naturally translate well to the pros.
On the flow of UW LBers to the NFL, Vince Biegel says, 'When people draft Wisconsin guys, they know they're getting coachable guys who are going to bring their lunch pail. Smart, tough, dependable guys. Like what coach (Paul) Chryst talks about.' Read more https://t.co/55zk7OCSW9

Green Bay has made a habit of picking up local products, and they should heed Biegel's advice when it comes time to add more defensive reinforcements in 2021.
In the last 20 years, 11 linebackers have been drafted out of Wisconsin, and seven have been picked in the last four drafts. A few others, like Edwards, have managed to sneak onto rosters as undrafted free agents.
The next in line is 2020 third-round pick Zack Baun, a versatile chess piece with first-round talent that Sean Payton will deploy all over the New Orleans Saints defense.

Wisconsin consistently pushes out solid, dependable players at a variety of positions, and the crop of linebackers consistently draw rave reviews. It's only a matter of time before one of them ends up in Canton.
