Packers Signing Eric Ebron Would Make a Lot of Sense

The Green Bay Packers decided to move on from tight end Jimmy Graham this offseason. The Pack did bring Marcedes Lewis back, but he only finished with 15 receptions last season, and is not the final solution here.
No matter how you slice it, the Packers are dealing with inexperience at wide receiver, and landing another tight end could give Aaron Rodgers a reliable target in 2020.
Eric Ebron stands out as a great option, even after the move to re-sign Lewis.
I ran a 4.5 twice with a pulled hamstring ? they gave me a 4.6 lol but AR12 ? https://t.co/h0cmtO3vaY

Ebron has been in the NFL for six seasons and is still only 26 years old. He began his career with the Detroit Lions before signing with the Indianapolis Colts and making the Pro Bowl in 2018. An ankle injury shortened his 2019 season in what was a tough year for the Colts offense, sans-Andrew Luck.
The tight end shined with Luck as his quarterback, and playing with a motivated Rodgers could get Ebron back in the Pro Bowl. Rodgers and a scuffling Graham connected for 447 yards last season, and Ebron is still hitting his peak.
Touchdown Eric Ebron.

Classic example of how getting drafted to the wrong system/team can hurt you.
4 seasons with the Lions (11 tds)
1 season with colts (13 tds)
Very few players fit any scheme.
Rodgers needs a reliable target who has experience. Ebron is the obvious choice, and the Packers have the money to sign him (and can even backload the deal). Seeing what the quarterback did with a declining Graham should make Packers fans excited about the possibilities of Rodgers doing even more with Ebron.
