Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur Reportedly Tears Achilles Playing Basketball
By Max Scoli

We have an injury at Packers camp, but it's not what you might think.
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur tore his achilles' tendon playing a game of knockout (of all activities). He is scheduled to undergo surgery on Sunday.
One significant piece of the Packers' new-look offense will be severely hobbled during the rest of the offseason and beyond: New coach Matt LaFleur suffered a torn Achilles' tendon playing in a Knockout game on a Lambeau hoops court Wednesday night and will have surgery Sunday...

That must have been one fierce game of knockout.
LaFleur isn't going to let this mishap stop him from leading OTA's, though. The 39-year-old is expected to coach from a cart as he recovers from injury so he can stay involved in the team's preparation for the upcoming season.

This freak injury comes as a surprise to many, and his hands-on approach at Packers practice cannot be impacted in the infancy of his reign in Green Bay.
Matt LaFleur indeed suffered a torn Achilles, sources said. @MikeSilver said it did not happen during practice, but we've seen a hands-on approach from the first-year head coach in practice

This is the last thing that the Packers needed. These side-stories can take away from Green Bay's concentration on the goal at hand: winning football games.
While a torn achilles is a serious injury for anybody, you can expect LaFleur to not miss a beat as he prepares Aaron Rodgers and the rest of his team for the road ahead.
