Packers Finally Drafted a Skill Position Player for Aaron Rodgers With 62nd Pick But Still Got it Wrong

The Green Bay Packers may as well be trying to force Aaron Rodgers to retire from football early based on how the 2020 NFL Draft has unfolded.

After using the No. 26 overall pick on Utah State quarterback Jordan Love, the Packers used the No. 62 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft on Boston College running back AJ Dillon.

Dillon will likely be the backup behind Aaron Jones next season.

Dillon is a 240-pound bowling ball of a running back that will lower his shoulder and plow over linebackers. He ran for 1,685 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2019, all the while showing off speed and elusiveness in the open field that most backs his size just don't have.

Dillon is one of the best running back prospects in this draft, but he unfortunately landed in a bad spot. The Packers are one of the big "losers" in this draft so far, as they drafted a backup quarterback and a backup running back in the first two rounds.
