Packers Announce Signings of DB Jocquez Kalili and LB James Folston
By Michael Luciano

Entering the final week of the 2019 NFL preseason Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers decided to add some depth in their linebacking corps and in their secondary with the acquisition of two promising, athletic rookies.
Linebacker James Folston Jr. and cornerback Jocquez Kalili, the former of whom was cut by the Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans and the latter of whom tried and failed to crack the Jacksonville Jaguars roster, are the newest members of the Pack.

Kalili was the best player on a porous UNLV secondary last year, making 49 tackles, defending 6 passes, and picking off 1. He earned a reputation around the Mountain West as a violent corner that loves contact and can play the run.
Jocquez Kalili's overall grade (71.7) ranked 80/129 among draft eligible CBs with at least 500 defensive snaps.

Folston is the son of former Raiders second-round pick James Folston Sr., who had a seven-year NFL career in which he played mostly on special teams. Folston Jr. made 15 tackles last season with the Pitt Panthers.

LaFleur has been a big believer on putting together the best possible group of 53 regardless of experience, and both Folston and Kalili have a legit chance to make the Packers roster or stick around on the practice squad come the regular season.
