Orlando Scandrick Calls Out Eagles for Accountability Issues After Being Released

Things aren't that swell in the City of Brotherly Love right now.

Last week, ESPN's Josina Anderson dropped a scathing report which indicated once again that an anonymous Eagles player was alarmingly critical of Carson Wentz and Philadelphia's offense (and rumors sprung forth that we were discussing Alshon Jeffery here). Head coach Doug Pederson subsequently came out and refuted the claims of turmoil formulating in his locker room.

However, defensive back Orlando Scandrick, who was released by the Eagles earlier in the week, made an appearance on FS1's "Undisputed" on Friday, and the veteran CB promptly called out the team and their supposed "accountability issues," airing a significant number of grievances.

Talk about adding gasoline to the fire.

Scandrick's claims only vindicate the story of an anonymous player chastising the team, and it's quickly becoming apparent that Pederson, for the first time in a long time, doesn't exactly have control of his locker room.

Scandrick reportedly continued his rant by coming down on general manager Howie Roseman and fellow vet DB Malcolm Jenkins. He also stated that Philly has trouble coping with success, which, we presume, suggests that the team becomes significantly arrogant after a win.

What's specifically telling is the fact that Scandrick had nothing but praise for Wentz, which obviously contradicts last week's report and makes the Eagles locker room appear that much more divided.

"I love Carson. I thought he was a great guy. I thought he was a standup," said the Boise State product.

We expect that Pederson will be questioned about Scandrick's diatribe prior to Sunday's clash against the Bills. To say that we are clamoring for his response would be a colossal understatement.
