In a great sign of support, the Orioles surprised Trey Mancini with encouraging messages to keep fighting against his ongoing battle with colon cancer

In a picture of the virtual meeting, you can see all the Orioles players and coaches holding up home-made signs to show their support for Mancini, who's seen smiling ear-to-ear.

This should give the Orioles outfielder a boost as he continues his chemotherapy and begins a road to recovery. The entire baseball community is rooting for Mancini in his fight.

Mancini had surgery for his Stage 3 colon cancer on March 12. Since then, he's been through what he describes as a "weird couple of months."

"If I didn't have the medical care that we do with the Orioles I would not have caught this in time. I'm pretty confident it would have progressed to another stage, which would have been pretty devastating," Mancini said.

On the bright side, Mancini is becoming a leader for Baltimore, as he had his best season in 2019. He posted a .291 batting average and blasted 35 home runs leading the way for the Orioles through their rebuild.

All MLB fans are hoping that we can see Mancini take the field again for Baltimore in the not-so-distant future.
