VIDEO: Oregon Lands Nation's Top LB in 5-Star Prospect Justin Flowe
By Michael Luciano

The constant refrain surrounding No. 4 overall prospect and No. 1 linebacker Justin Flowe was that he was either going to join Clemson's stacked class or stay in his home state of California and go to USC. Flowe shocked many when he committed to Mario Cristobal and Oregon, who just won the Pac-12 this season.

This is the second year in a row that Cristobal has brought a Top-5 recruit to Eugene, as last year's No. 1 overall player in Kayvon Thibodeaux racked up nine sacks in his freshman year with the Ducks.
For his age, Flowe's speed and instincts for the linebacker position is truly astonishing. With Troy Dye off to the NFL after the Rose Bowl, Flowe could step in right away and replace his production, along with Noah Sewell.

Clemson is kicking butt on signing day, so Flowe going to Oregon doesn't sting as much as it normally would. USC, which now has the No. 75 recruiting class, behind the likes of Bowling Green, has descended into tire fire territory.
As Clay Helton and USC melt down, Oregon benefits, as the class of the Pac-12 only got stronger with Flowe's commitment.
