Justin Herbert NFL Combine Predictions

Justin Herbert has a shot to get taken near the very top of the 2020 NFL Draft. The Oregon Duck is fighting to be the second quarterback selected after Joe Burrow, and can see his stock shoot up past the likes of Tua Tagovailoa with a huge showing at the Combine. Let's take a crack at predicting how he'll perform in the big drills.
Justin Herbert NFL Combine Bench Press Predictions
Quarterbacks often avoid the bench press at the combine. That is a smart move given the potential risks. If Herbert did decide to bench, anywhere from 10-12 reps of 225 pounds would be respectable.

Herbert showed some serviceable mobility in Eugene. A time under 4.7 seconds would be huge for Herbert, but we can expect something more in the 4.7-4.8 range. All told, he won't have anyone wondering if he's Kyler Murray in disguise.
Justin Herbert NFL Combine Vertical Jump Predictions
The 6-foot-6 Herbert should aim for a mark of 29-31 inches on the vertical jump based almost solely on his height. For comparison, Dwayne Haskins reached 28.5 inches and Tyree Jackson reached 34.5 in 2019.
Justin Herbert NFL Combine Broad Jump Predictions
Herbert should finish anywhere between 115-120 inches in the broad jump. That would put him on par with the top quarterbacks from last year.
Justin Herbert NFL Combine 3-Cone Drill Predictions
7.00-7.05 seconds would be a great success for Herbert in the 3-cone. A fair expectation is anything between 7.00-7.15 seconds. For reference, Daniel Jones finished at 7.00 in 2019.
Justin Herbert NFL Combine Shuttle Run Predictions
4.25-4.30 seconds is where Herbert should fall in the shuttle run. Drew Lock's mark of 4.12 would be a pleasant surprise for the Oregon quarterback to match, but the odds may be against him there.

Herbert is already going to be drafted early on. A strong Combine could help him surpass every last QB prospect not named Burrow.
