4-Star DL Omari Thomas Commits to Tennessee Over Auburn and Others

In nine days, the Tennessee Vols will get ready to bring in a large number of their 2020 class with the start of the Early Signing Period on Dec. 18. And on Monday, they've secured a MONSTER commitment.
Moments ago, 4-star defensive lineman Omari Thomas announced he'll be suiting up for the Vols starting next season.

Talk about a monster get for Jeremy Pruitt and his coaching staff. Thomas, who checks in at 6-5, 300 pounds, is ranked the No. 8 defensive tackle in the country and No. 116 player overall.
Throughout his recruitment, he racked up 27 offers, picking the Vols over additional tenders from Auburn, Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas and many others.

Tennessee’s 2020 class jumps up to #18 nationally with this news.
Thomas took his official visit to Tennessee in late October and the trip clearly stood out to him. With him now on board, the Vols' have 19 verbal pledges for the '20 class. Thomas is the fourth 4-star target to pick Tennessee.
