Dallas Keuchel is known for quite a few things. For one, he's a former Cy Young award-winning pitcher who helped the Houston Astros to the 2017 championship.

Yet the reputation he's earned in the MLB goes much further than what he does on the mound. It extends all the way to the hair on his chin that's formed one of the most recognizable beards in all of sports.

It's for this very reason fans of the facial hair have gone into a frenzy with rumors swirling about Keuchel possibly inking a deal with the New York Yankees. But don't fret, Yankee fans: he hasn't always been hirsute.

Over the years, the Bronx Bombers have held a firm "no facial hair" policy, forcing other bearded legends like Johnny Damon and Kevin Youkilis to say goodbye to all their time and dedication spent in front of a mirror.

Few, if any, have ever seen Dallas Keuchel's chin, certainly not over the last few years. Luckily, pictures have surfaced of a clean-shaven Keuchel that bode well for the two-time All-Star, should he decide to head to the Big Apple.

It's a different look, one that will certainly require time to get accustomed to given how attached certain fans are. Like both Damon and Youkilis, how they react will likely be tied to how Keuchel produces in pinstripes.
