Ohio State RB JK Dobbins and Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor Finished 2019 Season With Identical Stats

The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Wisconsin Badgers featured two of the best running backs in college football this season. The Buckeyes had the NFL-bound J.K. Dobbins in the backfield while the Badgers had the great Jonathan Taylor.
Well, in terms of trying to crown one over the other as the more elite Big Ten running back, it's nearly impossible to separate one from the other. Statistically, the two produced virtually identical numbers in 2019.
Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins and Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor both finish the season with exactly 2,003 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. Dobbins had 301 carries, Taylor had 320.

Dobbins and Taylor each finished with exactly 2,003 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground. The pair combined for 621 carries, with Taylor rushing the ball 19 more times than Dobbins. Still, the fact that they finished with the exact same numbers is truly bizarre, especially given the rivalry between the Buckeyes and Badgers.
Neither player could best the other and the receiving stats were almost identical as well.
Jonathan Taylor just slightly outperformed J.K. Dobbins as a receiver. Taylor had 26 catches for 252 yards and five touchdowns, Dobbins had 23 catches for 247 yards and two touchdowns.

This is a perfect end to the year for both players. They were able to break the 2,000-yard mark and made themselves look worthy of being taken high in the 2020 NFL Draft.
