Odell Beckham and Le'Veon Bell Are Proving All the Critics Right by Not Showing up to OTAs
By Jerry Trotta

There's absolutely no coincidence that critics and pundits are generally right when it comes predicting the actions of athletes that epitomize "diva" or "prima donna" personalities. More often than not, these athletes' devotion and commitment to their franchise is brought into question and that's exactly where skeptics have hit it right on the nose when it comes to Odell Beckham and Le'Veon Bell.
Neither OBJ or Bell have attended Browns or Jets OTAs and the fallout has resulted in Cleveland head coach Freddie Kitchens calling out the superstar wideout and New York defensive tackle Steve McClendon imploring the All-Pro running back to report to the Jets' workouts.
#Browns Freddie Kitchens says Odell Beckham Jr. has missed 'a lot' by skipping all but one OTA. Specifically 'the offense.' What would he like to see out of him next week? 'I just want to see him' https://t.co/vswqTuKUwf

Do we realize how much of a slap in the face that Beckham's and Bell's actions must be to their new teammates? The Pro Bowlers are simply displaying a terrible first impression by not practicing and putting in work as much as everyone else.
OTAs are SO much more than getting back into football shape. It's about developing rapport with teammates (and coaches) and introducing new offensive and defensive schemes.

What makes it all the more frustrating is that we don't doubt that Odell and Le'Veon are working out on their own! But for some reason, both players are electing to do it without their NEW teammates.
All they're doing is straining the all-important relationships with colleagues, coaches, and fans. But if we're being honest, it was the easiest part of the offseason to predict because they've never once hinted at any signs of changing their "me-first" demeanor throughout their careers.
