The St. Louis Cardinals have got themselves a pretty lucrative farm system. Perhaps their strongest prospect is third baseman, who ranks 55th in Baseball America's Top 100 prospects list. Gorman showcased his stuff on Wednesday afternoon, at the expense of the New York Mets. With the Cardinals down 4-0 in the top of the eighth inning, Gorman put the Cards on the board with a solo home run to right field, directly into the glove of a Mets fan.

Even though he sported a Pete Alonso jersey, that fan thanked Gorman for the Spring Training gift.

The Cardinals have been in the market for a top-tier third baseman for a while now, as they were reportedly looking at a potential trade with the Colorado Rockies for Nolan Arenado. Despite Arenado's unhappiness with the Rockies, a trade isn't expected, and Gorman's path is still relatively clear.

How 'bout Bader the Gator on the microphone, too?!

The Cardinals won't have to worry. They have a Nolan who can play third base already, and based off his .304 batting average this spring, can potentially make the Opening Day roster at 19.
