As we all know, Kobe Bryant meant everything to the game of basketball. He was a symbol of flare and style. His Nike signature sneakers were worn by fans and players alike, the shoes are almost embedded with the Mamba mentality.

Fans have been clamoring for Bryant-related sneakers since the NBA legend passed in Jan., but they have largely been sold out. So, in honor of Kobe Bryant, Nike is releasing a new, purple and gold iteration of the Kobe 5 Protro in March.

The Kobe 5 Protro sneaker is the same one he wore during the 2010 NBA Finals. It will be the first release from Bryant's sneaker line since he passed. This should be an exciting opportunity for "sneakerheads" who have been searching for a Kobe shoe available for purchase.

Fans haven't been able to purchase a Bryant shoe because they are either sold out everywhere, or wildly overpriced by secondary markets. These sneakers look sleek, and we even saw a preview of them when Anthony Davis wore them during the All Star game.

According to Footwear News, the "Lakers" Zoom Kobe 5 Protro will be available for purchase on March 26 at select retailers.
