We are inching ever closer to college football's 2019 regular season game of the year. On Saturday, the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide will welcome the No. 1 LSU Tigers to Tuscaloosa in a clash that will have massive CFB Playoff implications.

The narrative surrounding Nick Saban's side, of course, is the health of superstar quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who has been out of commission since suffering a right ankle injury in Week 7 against Tennessee.

Tua was always expected to feature in the SEC showdown, but everybody knows just how dangerous he is when he's fully mobile and able to roam outside of the pocket. Well, Saban provided an update on Wednesday, in which he stated that the left-handed gunslinger is improving "dramatically" with each passing day.

"It's still day-to-day, and you don't know what's going to happen tomorrow or the next day," Saban told ESPN, "but he's moving around well and throwing the ball with confidence. His mobility will be the big question, but every day that's improved dramatically."

Saban continued to state that it was practically impossible to determine that Tua was injured while reviewing Tuesday's practice film. He asserted, however, that his superstar has been a bit limited at practice.

"We're not asking him to do everything he would in a game," said the Crimson Tide boss. "He's not scrambling for a first down. He's not getting chased by a defensive end or any of that stuff, so it's a little bit controlled. We'll continue to monitor him and see how he progresses, but we're pleased with where he is."

Nobody actually thought that Tua would be 100% healed from his injury this soon, right? College football fans were merely hoping that he would be well enough to take the field for the LSU game.

Barring a setback, we will be treated to just that.
