Jets quarterback Sam Darnold's infamous quote during Week 7 of last season has been mocked ever since, but never quite like this. Of course, Darnold muttered "I'm seeing ghosts" after throwing his second of four picks while getting blown out by the Patriots 33-0. Darnold must have forgotten he was mic'd up, because the quote has haunted him ever since.

Reddit user OrangElm did some research on Darnold's stats when there's more or less "ghosts" where he's playing. Whether or not your believe in paranormal activity, you have to appreciate this level of effort.

The user calculated "ghosts" by the amount of deaths in the state where the game was held that year. As you can see here, he did some pretty intense research. Frankly, we all have a little bit of extra time on our hands during quarantine.

Should Darnold actually see ghosts, he ought to consult the Jets team doctors and work from there. Given this is the Jets, they'd also find a way to make matters worse.

Great findings from this user. These are the true analytics we need in the NFL. It may be time for PFF to start analyzing how players are impacted by paranormal activity.
