NFL is Ridiculous for Fining Davante Adams for Innocent Chest Bump Penalty
By Ian Anderson

The "No Fun League" strikes again!
Following a ridiculous unsportsmanlike penalty in the Green Bay Packers' blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the NFL decided to fine wide receiver Davante Adams for something that really should not have been a penalty in the first place.
Davante Adams was fined 10,527 for unsportsmanlike conduct. Here's what he said about the flag after the game:

"That was just like some college stuff. I never seen a flag get thrown over what I did. I bumped chest with the dude, but this is the league.... https://t.co/BCtr731ViD
Fining him $10,527 for this penalty is quite simply ridiculous and another example of the NFL refusing to let the players play. A little instance like that isn't worthy of a flag, let alone a fine, it is just something that the league should let players do to enhance the competitive atmosphere.

Like, excuse me?
This was something that you could normally see in college, high school, and peewee football games. But the NFL thinks that it is "too far." Okay then.
It seems as if this is an attempt to make the NFL softer and is pretty much a way that Roger Goodell can assert his power. Let the players play, let them celebrate, and the game grows with it. The concept is not that hard to grasp but obviously the commissioner of the National Football League struggles with it.
