Since Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott first came into the league back in 2016, he's had a fair amount of off-the-field issues plaguing his image.

In 2017, the NFL suspended Elliott for six games for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy. Now, the former Ohio State star could find himself in more trouble with the league after a video surfaced of an altercation involving Elliott and a security guard at a music festival in Las Vegas.

Just like the incident from 2017, Elliott was never formally arrested for his involvement in the alleged altercation and there were no official charges against him. However, due to Elliott's disciplinary history with the NFL, he could see another punishment coming his way.

Under the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, it's stated that any form of "actual or threatened violence against another person" is strictly prohibited. Since the video clearly shows Elliott approaching the security guard, uttering "you got something to say," and then walking into him until he fell to the ground, the league could easily choose to take action.

Losing Elliott again could be a nightmare for the Cowboys. Another punishment could be detrimental to his NFL career.

Whether or not the league chooses to interpret Elliott's actions in the video as a violation of the Personal Conduct Policy is entirely up to them, which should terrify the Cowboys. Elliott's past issues with the league's policy could deem him a repeat offender.

Until then, Cowboys fans hold their breath and hope the NFL opts to clear Elliott before they're stuck with another offseason of turmoil.
