The Regional Combine Series is an event created by the NFL to help create more exposure and opportunities for players who are not highly touted enough to be invited to the NFL combine, but could still be beneficial to pro teams. Players must have used up their college eligibility, just played college football the past year and assessed as skilled enough prospects by scouts of NFL teams' in order to be able to attend the combine.

On Wednesday, the NFL announced the dates and locations for the Regional Combine Series, including the Regional Combine Invitational (RIC) and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) combines. It will be from March 27-29, and will take place in the Miami Dolphins' Baptist Health Training Facility.

Historically Black Colleges and Universities 2020

The HBCU combine will begin on Friday, March 27, with measurements taken by the NFL and interviews with different NFL clubs. As we have seen in the past, NFL teams take their interviews VERY seriously, so for those who are not as talented as those in the National Combine, this can prove to be a huge stepping stone.

On Saturday, March 28, there will be workouts and drills for the HBCU players.

Regional Combine Invitational 2020

On Saturday, March 28, the RIC combine will start with measurements and interviews, just like the HBCU combine did a day earlier.

On Sunday, March 29, the players will take part in on-field drills and workouts at the Miami Dolphins’ Baptist Health Training Facility to test the skill of those invited, and if they are worthy of being picked during the NFL draft.
