New Era Should Definitely Stop Selling These Phillies Hats That Look Like Cowboys Hats
By Michael Luciano

What's a good way to announce you're a diehard Philadelphia Philles fan, but at the same time alienate Philadelphia sports fans?
New Era's "Logo Elements" series takes a more minimalist look at each team's MLB logos, with a secondary detail made the main focus of each hat. The Philadelphia Phillies might have been dealt the worst one of the group, however, as their hat features a prominent blue star that looks an AWFUL lot like the Dallas Cowboys' logo.

I'm sure Philly fans are going to gobble this one right up. After all, they don't mind Dallas that much, right?
Almost every other team got a real cool one too. We got hosed

These hats range from really unique and creative to just bizarre, as evidenced by the New York Mets' Mr. Met hat.
New Era released these fresh “Logo Elements” hats for the #Mets ???

Will you be purchasing any of them? (Via @NewEraCap)https://t.co/8z7noIGeH9 pic.twitter.com/I7m7wbHhbI
Because we all wanted a monochrome Mr. Met peering out at other people on our clothes. The Cincinnati Reds have a very similar one with their "Mr. Red" character.
The Oakland Athletics, however, take the cake with their weird Logo Elements hat. It's...an elephant wearing sunglasses?

I don't see anything wrong with it if you don't.
Some of the Logo Elements collection really stand out (Kansas City's gold crown, Arizona's red and black, San Diego's swinging friar), but that monstrosity of a Phillies hat could be grounds for dismissal from Philly sports fandom, as it's almost a carbon copy of the hated Cowboys star.
