Myles Garrett Issues Weakest Apology Known to Man After Literally Assaulting Mason Rudolph

As if hitting someone in the head with their own helmet was not brutal enough, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was not overt in offering his sympathies. Following the controversial brawl which took place at FirstEnergy Stadium on Thursday, Garrett seemed less than remorseful for his involvement.

The Browns DE made a very brief apology following Thursday night's brawl --during which Garrett attacked Mason Rudolph with the quarterback's own helmet -- but it ultimately seemed to lack candor.

Garrett was ejected from the game and the following morning was handed an indefinite suspension from the NFL, barring him from taking the field for the rest of the 2019 season, and postseason -- if the Browns make it.

The 23-year-old refused to explain what caused him to lose his temper, leaving everyone wondering what ignited the rage that led to the contentious incident.

While some may argue that Rudolph was the initiator of the fight, at the end of the day, it's Garrett's actions that will be remembered. He lost his cool and should know the consequences that come with doing so. His apology, however, suggests that he's hardly contrite over the incident.

If Garrett wants to find some mercy from the Rudolph, the NFL, or its fans, he'll have to make a real apology.

In any case, Garrett won't be sniffing the field for the rest of the season, so he'll have a long time to mull over the episode.
