Myles Garrett Doesn't Think the Browns Actually Need Gerald McCoy

The Browns may be looking to add some more talent to their defensive line, but don't tell that to Myles Garrett. According to ProFootballTalk, the Browns are looking to pursue defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, but Garrett feels comfortable with the team's current setup.

McCoy is on the open market after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he spent his first eight NFL seasons. During that span, he compiled 54.5 sacks and turned in six Pro Bowl appearances and three first-team All-Pro selections.

He could be a big addition for a team like the Browns, who could use another veteran presence on a young, inexperienced roster.

Regardless, Myles Garrett doesn't care whether McCoy hops on board in Cleveland or not; he feels the defensive line will be dominant either way.

This is probably a fair assessment, after a season when Garrett dominated with 13.5 sacks and an offseason in which the Browns added talented veterans Olivier Vernon and Sheldon Richardson. Still, it's hard to argue that adding McCoy would serve to make an already-scary defensive line even scarier.
