VIDEO: Mississippi State Star Landon Sims Gets Ripped off by Ridiculous Umpire Call on Beautiful Slider
By Adam Weinrib

Freshman starter Landon Sims is a special kind of beast, already making his mark know at Mississippi State. The kid's got a phenomenal slider, with visions of Max Scherzer dancing in our heads while we watch his repertoire. But Sims may not have the cache with SEC umpires yet. Against Oregon State, the big righty emerged from the bullpen and threw two clean innings on Friday, but one of his K's came after a colossal missed call.

It was all worth it for that second back foot slider, but what was the umpire looking at?! That was beyond perfect paint. Basically right over the heart of the dish.
Oregon State may not have the heart or core of a champion this year, ranking at the back end of the top 25, but this was still a very impressive showing from the No. 6 Bulldogs, ump gaffes notwithstanding.
