Minnesota Twins president of baseball operations Derek Falvey revealed during a conference call with reporters on Thursday that several players within the organization have tested positive for the coronavirus, which has announced its presence across MLB in the last week.

The sensitivity behind this development is pretty apparent, as the COVID-19 death toll is somewhere in the hundreds of thousands worldwide. Unfortunately, that didn't stop a Minnesota sports page on Instagram from posting a graphic of Twins players smiling while conveying the news to followers.

This nonsense might take the cake for the most tone-deaf reaction amid the coronavirus pandemic, and there's been a laundry list of them. There's simply no justifying sharing a picture that depicts players looking giddy, after apparently learning that they contracted a deadly disease.

Turns out, too, that this particular IG does this...a lot.

Like...a lot a lot.

That being said, use a photo of a Twins hat or even a bird's-eye snapshot of Target Field. Pretty much anything other than the graphic provided would suffice. We're sure this isn't the case, but this post makes it seem like this news account has no concern for the health of these players.

The only silver lining to be had here is the fact that the un-named players weren't training in Minnesota or the club's Spring Training complex in Fort Myers, FL.

This account should do right by the Twins organization and the followers it offended and release a formal apology.
